Ice fishing

Today Kyle and I went ice fishing with Rose's class (and another second grade class)! The weather couldn't have been better a sunny and warm springish day. The Alaska Fish and Wildlife Service set up dozens of holes complete with poles and bait for us to use after a short class. Unfortunately no fish were hauled up, but I think they had fun anyway.

  1. I'm glad at least the weather was cooperative since the fish weren't. Better luck next time! (your kids get to do the coolest stuff with their classes) And whatever you do, don't lose the dipper down the hole.

  2. Neat! Paranoid auntie is glad to see the holes are quite small in diameter :).

  5. I was glad the holes were small too! The kids we had charge of were being pretty careful, but there were holes all over the ice so no running was the first rule. Yes, Chena Lakes at the swim beach.
