Salmon day

Rose (formerly known as Abbie) and I went on a field trip to learn about spawning salmon and get some salmon eggs for the second grade to hatch. Very cool and informative. Rose was a little annoyed they had to kill the fish. But the eggs were too exciting

Yes, Abbie has decided she would rather be called Rose by her friends and family. She has been talking about it for quite a while and I can't think of a reason why she shouldn't so we are just gonna try to make the change....so far so good, just a little strange! :)

  1. Rosy cheeked Rose. We'll try to remember, but she might be A. Rose for awhile!

  3. Thanks for the new post!! I emailed Kyle a while back about it, but mom said he doesn't check his email. When I was little I chose to go by Marie, because there were five Megans in the class. Anyhoo, that was a long time ago, and this new name change will take some getting used to. I like the name Abbie a lot, but Rose is nice too.

  4. A rose by any other name would still smell as sweet. Was it cold enough to blunt the smell of dead fish? You guys go on some cool field trips!

  5. When Stan and I were kids, we called our Dad's brother, "Uncle Minny" (probably because we could not say Merritt). Later, we called him Merritt. And, at some point near his RETIREMENT, he preferred to be called Keith! (If Uncle Minny can do it...go for it Rose!)
