Bouillabaisse

This time with traditional fish! Loosely based on the Cook's Illustrated chicken bouillabaisse. Very tasty and added to the list of really good things to make for dinner :)

For those wondering, bouillabaisse is a fish stew with potatoes, fennel bulb, tomatoes and wine sauce spiced with saffron. You serve it with something called rouille, a sort of spicy saffron mayonnaise sauce.

  1. It's colorful and looks flavorful. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. Did the kids eat it too?

  2. I have read about bouillabaisse, but have never even seen it. I pictured a pale watery broth with pale chunks of fish floating in it. I like your picture much better. Looks very appetizing!
