The project took up most of the kitchen. I have made yeast donuts only once before...this time I tried the recipe from cooks illustrated. A nice soft brioche type dough.
After a few problems with my thermometers, we got them all fried. Next up was the glazing, then the filling with lactose free pastry cream.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, donuts!!!!
Wow! Jason and I are drooling at the thought of homemade, warm doughnuts. You guys are amazing chefs.
