Today we had some un-winter. The previously snow dusted pumpkins are now starting to ooze through the table. So, all the really squishy ones got stuffed into an empty feed sack. I am hoping the other ones will firm back up soon!
Well they were put outside after carving and froze. Now with yesterdays warm melty temps they have all thawed...all that carving just ruins the structural integrity I guess. :P
Oh man! That's usually not a problem up there, frozen solid and good to go until the moose family decides to treat themselves is more like it. You get moldy, gooey pumpkins down here pretty quick, so I know what kind of a mess you're dealing with. ick.
I don't know much about pumpkin carving but I didn't expect that to happen!

ReplyDeleteEwww.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen a jack-o-lantern do that up here in Oct. Megan's right - moose were my worry.
